New to Chatelaine blog site!

First ever Chatelaine - Evening in the park

Hello all,

I am so pleased to have found your site and am inspired by all your lovely work - so much so, that I decided I would give one a go (very scary as never done specialty stitches before).

I have to admit I have totally fell in love with it - So wanted to share my progress with you all.

New here. Nearly complete Marrakech Nights

Hello to all!   So glad to find this site. I have been looking at all of your posts for inspiration. I am a married forty something mother of 2 boys. We currently live in central Florida. I am Martina's first place raffle winner from last year so I have a lot of  her designs to keep me busy. I am currently working on Pomarium, and Hanging Gardens of Semiramis.  I will post photos as soon as I figure out how to.   Just completed Marrakech Nights last night. Tila beads in center gave me a very hard time. May end up redoing them.

Serendipitous Jo's Gardens of London 2

I've reached the end of the Chatelaine round of my rotation and have thoroughly enjoyed stitching this beautiful design.  Here is where I left the piece, having just finished the Queen Stitches:

Fabric - 32count Belfast in Cotton Clouds by Crafty Kitten
Threads - DMC conversion plus Dinky Dyes, Jodyri Threads, Gloriana and Rainbow Galleries.

Serendipitous Jo's Gardens of London

Hello Chatelaine Stitchers, Joyzse added me to this blog a while ago in an attempt to get me to choose and start my first Chatelaine.   I made my choice when Gardens of London was first released and 2016 saw me take the second step of actually purchasing the chart!

Then the difficult task of choosing the fabric.  With the help of Dawn from Crafty Kitten I decided on Cotton Clouds in a 32count Belfast linen.  The true colour is a pale blue although it looks more grey-blue in some of the photos.
A very small start!

A little bit more:

Circle meeting up:

Adding more shades of blue:

Where I am at the start of today:

My rotation consists of a number of SALs and then one focus piece for the rest of the month.  So I will stitch as much as I can this month and put it aside for a piece with a deadline next month.

If you are interested in following my main blog and maybe joining one of my SALs or Blog Hops then you can find me here:
