Let the beading begin- Japanese Garden
The first two weeks of July I worked on beading Japanese Garden. That was for my open week, then my normal JG week.
Let me just say, I love beading! What fun. WOW do the beads really make it just POP.
I am grateful to the chatelaine Facebook groups who helped me get my supplies. I made a tacky bob, which works great. I also got a tip to this bead nabber. Can I just say, best invention ever? I was quite worried about picking the beads up, as my hands shake all the time. I had images of beads everywhere but my handy bead nabber really worked great. I only lost a few beads and I was able to find them before they got away.
I have hopes to get this done my my birthday- October 14. I think it's a very realistic goal. I can't believe after over 5 years, I'm nearly there.

Japanese Garden- Angie
I decided to work on Japanese Garden for my free week in my rotation this month. I'm so close to finishing the stitching. I have the crane and one bridge/ flower set to go. I'm so excited and pleased with myself. It isn't perfect but that's okay.
Here is my progress last week-
<a href="http://patchworkstitches.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/dscn3129.jpg"><img src="http://patchworkstitches.files.wordpress.com/2014/05/dscn3129.jpg?w=300" alt="DSCN3129" width="300" height="225" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1012" /></a>
You'll have to wait for a picture of the entire piece until it is finished.
This week is the normal week for JG in my rotation. I will probably not get it entirely finished. Depending on how close I am, I may work on it next week instead of Cirque.

More Progress on JG
I pulled out JG yesterday and made a bit of progress despite having to frog. Much to my dismay, I think I may run out of a few Eterna Mini-Twist colors. I did a search online and I would end up paying twice as much for shipping than I would for two skeins of floss. I emailed Stitchers Paradise for a quote, but haven't heard back yet. Anyone know of where I can get the floss with reasonable shipping? Or, does anyone have Eterna in their stash? I'm looking for 4110, 290, and 2840.

Introduction
Hi! My name is Melissa and I live in Alabama with my hubby and two crazy dogs :)
I have completed two Chatelaines: Japanese Garden and Cattelya Orchid.
For the Stitching Bandits Challenge, I will focus mainly on Moyland Castle. But I am also planning a new start-not that I need a new one... My new start will be either Old World Vinery or Pomarium Garden- I have not decided yet.
I look forward to seeing everyone's progress :)

I also have one WIP: Moyland Castle. Moyland Castle has not received a lot of love in the last year or so.

Angie's Japanese Garden
I like Meari am also stitching Japanese Garden. I stitch on a monthly rotation, 1 project a week.I just finished working on this for february. Last month I had to frog that 6 O'clock crane (over 1), this month I did much better. I am hoping to have this completely finished and beaded by summer's end. I always get lots of questions on the fabric. It is silkweavers mississippi blue,28 ct belfast linen.

Japanese Garden Update
Japanese Garden saw some progress this week. I finished all the lazy daisy stitches for the bamboo stalks at the 9 o'clock bridge. (Never thought I'd get them finished!) Here's what it looked like before:

Japanese Garden Update
I pulled out Japanese Garden. With any luck, I hope to have it finished by the end of 2014.
I did the purple specialty stitches on the right side and the water/bridge on the right. I also did the blue sparklies in both crane medallions. It's been quite a while since I've seen the bottom part of the pagoda!

Border finished- Japanese Garden
I bet you thought I forgot about this blog, or Japanese Garden. I slowed down when stitching the border as it got tedious and all those Jessica stitches. I am very pleased with how it looks, though I do have a few jessica's too frog and redo.
Anyways here it is
