Marleen's introduction...

hello,

this are the 2 chatelaines that I've worked on a long time ago...

"the celtic mandala garden "

and "king's vegetable garden"

I was member of the yahoo groups but I'll never had enough time to stitch... so they became ufo's... and I find this beautiful blog of chatelaines.. and I thought it's time to start them again to WIP's instead of UFO's....

i'll hoop soon to show some progress...

Japanese Garden Progress

So...my pictures are still dreadful; I need to find a better place to take good pictures once my projects get "big"! I have been making steady progress on Japanese Garden but will be taking a break while I finish reading the Game of Thrones series...thankfully I read quickly so I hope to be back to stitching soon! I've done a little more than is shown in this picture.

Japanese Garden 6 O'Clock Garden

I finished the 6 O'clock rock garden today.   Only one more rock garden to go.  I am getting tired of stitching them.  Can't wait to move onto something else.

A little border for Alpine

I enjoy so much your WIP pics, thanks for sharing, you're such an inspiration!!! Here's a pic from my Alpine, I finished the central part, and working now in the round border, before the flower's ring.

I'm using DMC and some Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure that already have in my stash, an a few Perle threads (like the blue on the border) so basically making a conversion on the go, Do you know what I mean?

I certainly miss having a brand new kit with all the threads calling for a design (the emotion of the package, and all the silks and crystals beautifully presented.... yay!!), but sometimes I also enjoy making a conversion little by little, as the design progresses, choosing colors and making combinations :D

Happy weekend!!

Spring Knotgarden

I got on to post this today and I'm soooooo happy to see that Sarah has finished her Part 1 as well!!! :D

I'm stitching mine on 32ct white jobelan with recommended threads, and not beading till the end. Also, there are itty bits missing from circular edges as these are going to feed into the next parts and I'm too lazy to start and stop threads. :D

Spring Knotgarden

Late last week, I started Spring Knotgarden. I finished the beading late last night. It's stitched on 28 ct white Monaco with all the silks converted to HDF.

Winter Watergarden

I just finished part 4 of Winter Watergarden and LOVE the blackwork leaves! Beautiful!!

WWG Part 4 Leaves!!

Part 4 is a really fun and quick stitch, brilliant after those trees in Part 3, which look fab but were a pig to count.  I've already done 3 of 4 leaves and hope to post a pic of the whole thing soon.  Hope your having a fab weekend.
