Polar Mandala - part 5
Well after no stitching all summer, my bug finally returned and half of this part was stitched over just 1 weekend! so finally this part is now completed minus the beads for the moment and the next part is now under way, though I have jumped to part 7 to save me having to unscroll the frame & move the fabric.

Queen's Farmhouse
Hello! My name is Katie and I am a new contributor to your wonderful and inspiring blog! I started stitching Chatelaines a few months ago and am working on Queen's Farmhouse and Egypt Garden currently. The Farmhouse is my favorite project so far, particularly because of the silks. They are so lovely.
More photos of QF and my other projects can be found at my blog.
Here is my progress on Queen's Farmhouse:
I am not 100% comfortable with the Jessica stitches - this is something I'll have to research with videos, diagrams, How to Do Jessica Stitches - For Dummies, etc.
Thanks for looking!
Katie

Autumn Fairy, part 5
Seeing Spring Fairy recently finished made me want to work on Autumn
Fairy again. Over the past couple of evenings I worked on and finished
part 5. Here are closeups of part 5 (though a little fuzzy, sorry!). Click each to view larger versions.
Once I finished part 5, I decided to go ahead and correct the crystals. I had previously put the heart in the top, and it just looked out of place there to me. Once I stitched part 4, I realized that it would look much better there.
Of course, then I had to decide what to put in the top part where I took the heart off. I found this crystal teardrop (and Spring Fairy has a crystal teardrop in the same location, so it seems like a no-brainer). Martina may have updated the instructions since she released the design, but I can't find anything in my chart about this, so I'm just going with what I think looks good. I'm not sure what color this is, but it's kind of a dark topaz.
Here is the entire design so far.
Being so close to the finish line on this one, I'm going to continue working on it - all I have left is the tree.
Thanks for looking!

Spring Appleblossom Fairy Finished!
I put the final stitches in part 6 today, finishing Spring Fairy after just over 2 years in progress. Happy Dancing!!!!!
In part 6 (the tree), I used the wrong color in thee lower right part of the tree by mistake. It was supposed to be Waterlilies Alpine Moss, but I used Dinky Dyes Blue Mountains. I liked it so much that I used it a little more in the design, and I like the subtle effect.

Hello from Holland
Part 9 of the Polar mandala I would like to show :
I am not exaggerating when I say that I'm addicted to Chatelaine.
I have already made quite a few.
I have a blog in Dutch but with google translate, you can choose your own language
And since a few months I sell Chatelaine patterns and beadspackets and my own designs
Thanks for looking,

My first ever Chatelaine
Lookee!!!! I came across a picture of my very first Chatelaine! It was back in 2003 and I had just found Martina's things on the web. She didn't have very many things out at that time, but everything she had was sooooo beautiful. I was so in awe. Gosh, did I get an education when I stumbled across that master. I never knew about variegated threads. Or anything about fancy stitches, like Algerian Eyes or Smyrnas mixed into cross stitch. I never heard of Rainbow Gallery, not the beautiful sparkly braids. I never knew about the Delica beads. Ohhhhhhhhhh wow. My mouth just hung open. lol
Oh, and "oh wow" was also my thought when I bought that first kit. $65. REALLY???!!! (LOL, I wish they were all that price) I had no idea the kit would be so expensive when I came across the European Cross Stitch booth at the CATS stitching festival, back in 2003)
As you might see, I did not spend the extra money on the specified basket, but found one at the local import store. Because the top of my picnic basket was so much bigger, I mirror imaged the top design. I also stitched all the other pieces, I was so excited about my new kit!

Mini Finishes
Hi everyone
Just thought I would drop in and show you my latest Chatelaine finish... Mini Mandala II "A".
I started this at the beginning of April 2013 and finished it mid May 2013. It really was a quick stitch and so enjoyable to stitch.
The colours that appeared while I was stitching this design are so gorgeous... so much prettier than the photo on the chart pack! Unless of course I have stitched it with the wrong colours!
I haven't as yet started the second one in the series but I am hoping to start the next one very soon.
Mini Mandala II is my second Chatelaine finish. I thought that I had already shown you my first finish but it appears that maybe I didn't...
My first ever Chatelaine finish was the Tiny Rose Garden Freebie in May 2012.
I love looking at all the wonderful designs that you are all stitching and I am hoping very soon to tackle one of the larger designs. I love the designs that Martina creates and reading all about your progress via this blog is wonderful.

This design was the first time I had stitched a "Jessica" stitch... and it took me a wee while to get them done... even now I am not sure if they're right....

new poster, three designs to share :)
Hi! I'm Rahenna and I've been a member here for a long time, but I've never posted before. I love looking at all the progress pictures and while reading back, there was a post asking for more pics to be posted. It made me realize that just reading and not posting to share is kind of silly, so I hope you don't mind a bunch of pictures. :)
My first and only finish so far is Octopus Treasure Cave. The fabric is PTP Phantom and there are some color changes to use things I had in my stash instead of buying the kit. I did try to match the original materials where I could, so the only major change is that the top/bottom blackwork is purple instead of green.
Spring Knotgarden was actually the first I started, but... I didn't get too far. :)
And right now I'm working on Beaded Dragonfly Tile. It may be small, but it's very detailed! The flower buds in the center contain 20 colors - I counted! I'm hoping the buds on the border don't have quite so many, but so far it feels just as complex... :)
I hope that's not too many pictures for one post!
