I finally finished Chinese Garden Mandala after two years of stitching! My first Chatelaine finish. :)

Lovely! I'm just got the threads together to start this. Thank you for the inspiration. Did you stitch it on the recommended fabric? I'm thinking about maybe a pale gray or beige if I can find one.
