Some CHAT updates

I've been stitching away on Cuba all weekend and I really hope to finish it this month!

Also I've started Part 4 of Konstantinople, beautiful and extremely intricate. If you click on the picture you can see the beautiful new stitches Martina has invented : the "stone stitch".

Sorry it's taken me so long to finally getting my finished Chatelaines posted here. WIPs will have to wait till another day.

Here's my very first Chatelaine. Celtic Maze Garden. This one is stitched using all the charted colors and is the piece that introduced me to all the variety of silk and overdyed colors that are out there. It's stitched on 32 ct Belfast Melinnium Blue. Sorry about the quality of the pics here, I pulled them from my weshots albulm. Better pics are on the Chatelaine BB.

Here's MM5 which seems to be the mini version of Celtic. It's stitched in the charted colors on 28 ct Monaco that I dyed a light blue.

Here's MM6 the Moonstone Garden. I converted the silks to HDF and it is stitched on 28 ct Black Monaco.

Autumn Watergarden. Stitched on 28 ct White Monaco in the charted colors.

The only other finish I've had is Caribbean and that has been posted here so I won't post that one again.

First half of Baroque Part 10

Part 10 of Baroque is 2 small gardens.  This is the left hand garden and I have just not been able to stop stitching - had to finish it!

The other side is same layout with different colours.

Taj Mahal - Top Paisleys Added!

With my Terrace Arch obligation piece finished, I'm back on stitching Taj. Over the last few nights, I've added the bigger trees, borders, and top left and right paisleys to the sides of the North Taj Mahal. The plan is to see how much of the flower border I can get done over the weekend.

First corner complete!

This design seems very popular and I can see why, I'm hope its other stitchers are having as much fun as me!  These winter trees look lovely but required a lot of counting to stitch.  I had to evict at least two small frogs from the branches.  Hopefully the remaining 6 will be frog free!   I have used Sierra Haze rather than Sierra Haze Light for the 'scrolls' because I used Martinas DMC conversion instead of Heirloom Blue silk for the big snow flake and I thought that the slightly darker scrolls worked better with my darker centre, otherwise its exactly as charted.

Here's my version of Winter Watergarden. I'm very pleased with these little ponds and my conversion.

Starting Alpine!!

I just started Alpine last night, and you can see now, the "spirit" of the little house LOL.

I'm using a Silkweaver's Solo, Lugana 28ct opal, with my DMC conversion (still working on it)

After stitching on St Pete, with Belfast, I feel the crosses here so big!!! LOL
