I finished the 9 o'clock Garden and cherry branches! Unfortunately, I had to do some frogging of the cherry branch ice crystals. I originally used the wrong color! Talk about a tedious process of frogging. Ugh.

I pulled this one out for a little lovin' this past weekend. I was able to complete two corners of part 9 and almost complete one corner of part 10. I did not take a photo of the whole piece, but here is where I stopped Sunday evening:

This is stitched on Silkweaver Fabric's Carol's Meadow. It is neither blue nor white, but a light green with the barest hints of pink/peach. I am using the called for threads and beads.

Not new to Chatelaines, I discovered them in 2004, but new to this blog. Thank you to Joyce for hosting. As I said, I discovered Chatelaines back in 2004 and it was ~~addiction~~ love at first sight. My first purchase was the then Mystery VIII which is now Evening in the Park and I haven't looked back and I haven't ~~even started~~ finished Evening in the Park either. I do have some finishes though, two large mandalas:

New to the group

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the group, but not new to Chatelaine, as you'll soon see! Joyce has asked me to share some pics of (all) my Chatelaine WIPs!

I fell in love with Medieval Town Mandala probably nearly 6 years ago - it was the first Chatelaine design I ever saw and it completely blew my mind! I was lucky to be able to join the Yahoo group for it towards the end and so downloaded all the parts of the design. For the following Christmas and birthday, I got all the silk threads - I'd never stitched with silk before!

And for about 5 years now, I've had MTM as a WIP. In July 2010, I completed part 5.

However, over the last 4 years I've had 2 children, so stitching has had to take a back seat (I've been crocheting instead), but I've now dug out MTM again. I'm working on a basis of at least 12 stitches per day, which doesn't make for fast progress, but it's wonderful just to be working on it. In the last week I've done this -

As for my other Chatelaine WIPs, in a fit of enthusiasm, while I was waiting to get going on MTM, I started Watergarden ....

... and St Petersburg.

But they're now both hibernating until I finish MTM.

I also have a completed Tiny Rose Garden (which I love) which I completely forgot to take photo of!

In my stash, I also have at least Taj Mahal, Egypt Garden, Evening in the Park, and I've now signed up for the 15th anniversary design - am I crazy or what??

I've also been drooling over everyone's stitching here - they're all so beautiful!

Hi Everyone, my name is Kathy, I would first of all like to say Thank you to Joysze for letting me join this lovely group, I just adore Chatelaines, and as you can see I have 5 on the go lol.

This first one is Autumn Watergarden, I have started Part 5 and I still have about 7 more sections to go as well as 3 parts of Part 5 left.

This next one is Pompejian Gardens, I only have the whole of the top section to go which are Parts 5,6, 10, 11 and 12 left to go, am hoping to get this one finished this month.

The next one is the start of Taj Mahal, I have hardly started this piece and it is still waiting to be worked on lol. Not sure when I will get around to it, but I hope to soon.

Next one is Watergarden, this is one of the pieces I started back in January as one of 15 2011 Crazy January challege and so far this is all I have done on it.

And last but not least is White Nights in St Petersburg, I have done parts 5, 6 and 7 on the top section. I just need to finished those 3 sections on the bottom now, then I can get it finished. I have been very slow at getting all these started and finished, but I am hopping no that I can post here I will get all the encourgement I need to get them all finished.

I am hoping to start Butterfly Haven in November, so that will be 6 to my collection started lol, and I am hoping to keep on top of that piece til the end, fingers crossed lol!!!!

I actually finished Japanese Garden on September 10th but didn't get around to uploading the picture from my camera until this morning. I'm down to 7 Chatelaines in progress now. I think I'm going to focus on Hawaiian Garden for awhile, though I'd really like to make some progress on Venice too (which is barely started). I just need more hours in the day!

I finally got back to Japanese Garden. I thought I would enjoy it more than I did after nearly a month away. Honestly though I am tired of the Corner Ornaments. Next Chatelaine I do that is not a current group I will do by the quarter as the chart is done not as I did this one.

Anyways I really enjoyed the specialty stitches. This picture is not reflective of where I am, I have started the third corner Ornament. I have the lanterns and the underneath of them done.

I participated in International Hermit and Stitch Weekend this weekend with my Desert Garden Mandala. It's looking lovely, if I do say so myself.

I'm going to add three piccys here. One is a shot of the birds panel. It has a roadrunner and a little blue bird. Then a piccy of the whole piece so far. I just love the way it looks!!! And then a piccy of the little bit of part eight I accomplished.

I only got a couple of hundred stitches in it, if that much. But I finished up my goal for it on this rotation, which was finish part seven and start part eight. Whoo hoo me!!! (That's two goals in a row. And going for three, lol.)

I have no clue where blogger will put the piccys, nor in what order they'll be. (They're being extremely difficult. I want them to be on the left, with text on the right, but the text refuses to fill in the spaces that are empty. Grrrrrr.... Stupid blogger. I HATE ADDING PICCYS TO A POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Rant over. Returning you to regular programing now.

Oh, and one last thing. That little black section in part eight is not done. Also, it is not going to be a Scotty dog. I think it looks remarkably like one, but that's just where I ran out of floss.

Hello Everyone!! I am ecstatic that I was invited to join Chatelaine Stitchers by Joyce! I am Lissane and have just started stitching again this year after about a fifteen year break. I found the Chatelaine Forum and I am now totally addicted to Chatelaines. So far I have only finished Mini Mystery 1. Right now I am stitching on Chinese Garden and Hummingbird Sparkly Garden. The Chinese Garden, stitched on 32 ct Antique White Joblean, was started late so I hope to be caught up soon. My Hummingbird is close to being finished with stitching and it is stitched on PTP 28 ct French Lilac Lugana. I have plans to stitch other Chats, as I have several calling my name in the wings. My next start is going to be Herbularius, still waiting for the kit.

Well, I haven't posted in awhile...I've been busy working on a Christmas stocking because we are having another baby in December (just found out on Tuesday that this one will be a girl!). I really missed my Chatelaines, though, so I've been working on Japanese Garden again since it's the closest to being finished. The picture quality isn't great, but it's getting close now!

Hello fellow members of the Chatelaine Collective! Thanks to Joyce for the invite as well, since I have so many Chatelaines going at the present (tho' I'm sure I'm not the only one!). I thought I'd share a little bit about myself and invite you all to visit my StitchinKat's Pawprints Blog. I am a married homemaker and mother of one daughter, almost 17 (she's taking finals this week for her junior year of high school). We live in my home state of North Carolina and I have been stitching for over 30 years, only becoming obsessive in the last 15 however. I discovered Martina's designs when a stitching friend was working on one of the early mysteries, and was facinated! I first tried a couple of her freebies, before jumping in feet first in 2005 into the Egyptian Garden. Next I did the Tree of Hope for New Orleans (now a Cotton Sampler). I have a couple of long standing WiPs, Evening in the Park and Holland Landscapes, and started Hummingbirds earlier this year. I have the Winter Watergarden kitted and ready to start, but got totally distracted by the new Chinese Garden Mandala and had to start it as well! Plus I'm doing the Micro set, having stitched the first two and kitted the third. The fourth and last is due out in August. Also own the Misty Meadows kit (the unicorn box) that I'll get to someday, and have a bunch of the freebies waiting as well. First off I would like to put a shout out to Cecilia. She is the one responsible for the start of this design. To me this is the most beautiful design Martina has ever done, also this is the most challenging thing I have EVER stitched! The backstitching was BRUTAL! Martina paid attention to the detail and as you can see the detail is amazing in this design. I am sorry that I am unable to capture the true beauty of this design but I believe it would be impossible. Now I have started Chinese and it is coming along a bit slowly but there is consistent progress and I will post when I get my parts done. I am going to let Joyce work out all the kinks for me......LOL!

I would also like to say that I have so much enjoyed seeing everyone's works here. You have been so inspiriring.

Hi there Chatelaine Stitchers!!

I'm Heidi and am usually a Mirabilia/Joan Elliott design lover, but Joyce and Soozie have finally worn me down to dig my needle into one of these gorgeous designs..............or should I say TWO. LOL!! I'm going to start Watergarden as soon as I can get some jobelan in my posession to go with the kit Sooz gifted me (Thank you Soozie!!) and I'll start Autumn Watergarden when DH gets me a kit for my bday! (he's been informed that it's what he's going to get for me, he just has to pay the bill - hahahaha) ;) I'm enjoying looking at everyone's gorgeous pictures and the gallery is awesome! Hopefully I'll have something to share soon too!

Thank you for letting me join you! I'm Melissa aka lissylaine aka Doodle-head. :) I've finished two Chatelaine designs so far, and have started 3 more (plus I've signed up for the Chinese Dragon Gate in August).

I started out with a small one, Mini Mystery E (Emerald) when I saw how beautiful the progress pictures of Part 1a were. I adore queen stitches, and that the first part of the design had some nice big ones in my favorite color sold me. I also found out how nice it was to stitch them with silk.

I have yet to find the perfect bellpull hanger, though, so it is not yet finished-finished.

A couple of years ago, I saw Annette's (Annette's Acre) first two Waterlily Pond Quilt squares, and once again was in love. It took over a year to get up the courage to start one of the bigger projects, but I finally did. And I decided to make it an actual wallhanging quilt. I've stitched all of the squares and put the quilt top together, and now I need to start quilting it (click for larger view).

Back in March I decided to do another one of her designs that I've admired for a while - Desert Mandala. At the same time, she announced the Autumn Fairy as a companion to the then-soon-ending Spring Fairy. So I decided to start all three. Here is my progress on all of them so far.

Charbs Part 5

Here is my Part 5, stitched with the European birds. I will stitch all the rest of the birds on the design exactly as charted giving me 7 different winter birds in total. I will need to miss a few stitches out of the top gate as the black bird is a little big but hopefully it will only be a very few and it will still look ok. I'm very happy with it.

I finished up the landscape panel for part seven. I'm not real fond of the color palette (I hate brown and yellow with a passion, lol) but I like the way it turned out. I made a small change in the bsing. Part of the cacti to be bsd are mostly blue, while others are mostly brown. I did the blue cacti in Pond Scum as called for, but I switched to Camouflage for the brown cacti. I like the way it turned out. I'll add a pic of the whole thing to date too.
